What Is Reservation Dogs About?

Reservation Dogs follows Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), Cheese (Lane Factor), and Elora (Devery Jacobs), who are indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma. These four teenagers dream of escaping reservation life and living it up in the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.

The group wishes to honor their deceased friend, Daniel, by leaving the reservation. Daniel put this idea into their heads prior to his death.

In order to leave, the kids devise a plan to put their dream in the works. They commit petty theft, such as peddling vehicles they stole to meth heads for parts and resources, as well as sneakily stealing meat from the markets for Willie Jack to sell meat pies in front of the local health clinic.

The teenagers are willing to do anything to leave the confines of Eastern Oklahoma. No matter the costs.
