What Is Severance About?

Set in a cutting-edge, futuristic society, “Severance” follows a group of employees who work at Lumon Industries, a biotechnology corporation. The severance procedure puts them in a trance-like state once they enter the workplace and returns them to their normal state once they leave. As the story progresses, Mark, one of the severed workers, stumbles upon a web of conspiracies surrounding Lumon and its higher-ups, revealing a series of secrets about the classified project the employees are subconsciously working on. 

“Severance” was released on Apple TV Plus in February 2022. It has nine episodes and a runtime of one hour. A second season is also underway.
