Coaches must train their protรฉgรฉs and hone their talents to help them come out on top and win the USD$100,000 cash prize.

“The Voice” premiered on NBC on April 26, 2011. It has gone on to amass a whopping 23 seasons and 558 episodes, with a 44โ€“104-minute runtime. It is based on the original Dutch show of the same name. Canada also has its version of the reality singing competition called “La Voix.”

How Are the Reviews for The Voice?

Critics generally received “The Voice,” as evidenced by its 61% Metascore. The reality show was often compared to “American Idol,” with the former being heralded as the superior singing competition. Critics praised the show for its fun and upbeat synergy between the talented contestants and charismatic judges/coaches.

Mellisa Maerz of Entertainment Weekly perfectly encapsulated what makes “The Voice” so charming, saying, “People watch The Voice for the coaches, not the contestants–and at a time when everyone’s fighting on American Idol, with Nicki Minaj playing the angriest Oompa Loompa on TV, it’s nice to see judges having fun.โ€
