Set in the crime-filled, dystopian city of Glen, “They Cloned Tyrone” begins when Fontaine, a drug dealer, pays a visit to a local pimp named Slick Charles to collect his debts. On his way, he also meets Yo-yo, a prostitute who works for Slick. Fontaine managed to get his money but was suddenly shot and killed by a rival drug dealer outside Slick’s place. To his complete astonishment, Slick received another visit from Fontaine the next day, all alive and well. Slick tells Fontaine about the incident the day before, and that he’s back from the dead. Fontaine consult Yo-yo to see if the events that happened were true, and she confirmed about seeing the gunmen and where they went. The trio decides to go to the gunmen’s place and investigate. When they arrive at the house, they find an elevator that leads to a mysterious underground laboratory, where they find a dead body that looks exactly like Fontaine. Throughout the film, the trio fell into a rabbit hole of conspiracies operated by the government which aims to control poor and crime-filled Black neighborhoods in America.
