How to Watch Vikings Online in Canada?

VIKINGS

If you donโ€™t already know, Vikings is a historical drama TV show that centers around Ragnar Lodbrok. This man is both a farmer and a Viking warrior who has conflicts with the decisions of chieftain Earl Haraldson. He sets out to conquer the northern seas with the help of his friend, Floki.

This show ran from 2013โ€“2022 with six seasons for people to watch. Filmed in Ireland, this show was first released in Canada on the channel, History.

From there, several streaming services took hold of this show, and the last two seasons are only on streaming services. Even with the struggle Canadians have with seasons 5 and 6, it is still easy to watch Vikings if you live in Canada.

1. Watch Vikings in Canada on History

If you have cable and want to watch Vikings, the History channel is your best source. This is where the show first premiered and itโ€™s where you can still watch most of the available episodes.

You donโ€™t even have to wait for reruns when it comes to this channel as well. As long as this channel is on your cable plan, you can use your cable credentials and log onto the History Channel website. From there, you can watch each episode up to season 5. From there, itโ€™s not available on History the same way the other seasons are.

2. Watch Vikings on iTunes

When you look up Vikings online to see where you can watch, iTunes is one of the places that pop up. You can rent or buy every season of Vikings on iTunes so that you can forever have the characters and stories that you love available to watch at any time.

If you would rather buy and own Vikings on your Apple account, going through iTunes is the way to do it.

If you are an android user or simply donโ€™t have an iTunes account, you can also purchase Vikings through Google Play.

3. Watch Vikings on Hulu

VIKINGs ON HULU

Hulu is a very popular place for people in both the United States and Canada to watch Vikings. This is because Hulu has every single season available to watch, unlike places like Netflix which only have a select number of seasons.

However, Hulu has a big problem when it comes to watching in Canada. Many of the shows that Hulu has is geo-restricted, meaning that without a VPN, you wonโ€™t be able to catch up on Vikings.

Downloading a VPN is very easy and completely safe to do – we go through this later. Once you have your VPN set up, make sure that it indicates that you are in the United States so that you can access the US Hulu library. From there, you should be able to find Vikings there and ready for you to watch.

4. Watch Vikings on Netflix

Once again, you will need a VPN to watch Vikings on Netflix. This is because seasons 5 and 6 are not available on Canadian Netflix, but seasons 1-4 are. If you just want to catch up on the first four seasons, then Netflix will be good for you. However, if you are wondering what is happening in seasons 5 and 6, you will need a VPN.

When you have your VPN of choice set up, you will need to connect to a countryโ€™s server that has the last two seasons. Examples include Japan and Spain. Connect to a different countryโ€™s server and then you should be able to find seasons 5 and 6 of this fantastic show.

5. Watch Vikings on Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime is where the last two seasons of Vikings, seasons 5 and 6, were aired and is the new home of the show. When season 5 was going to be released, many were surprised that it was going to be airing on Amazon Prime before it aired on Netflix or even the History Channel.

If youโ€™re in Canada, you can still watch every season of Vikings by having an Amazon Prime account. With your Amazon Prime account, you can watch any TV show or movie that Amazon has taken hold of.

If you donโ€™t already have an Amazon Prime account, you can sign up for one at CDN$9.99 a month or CDN$99.00 a year. Remember, before you have to pay any money, you also get a free trial of Amazon Prime.

6. Watch Vikings on Crave

Crave is an online platform (connected to a TV channel) that allows people to watch their favorite TV shows and movies from the comfort of the internet. While Crave may not work for many Canadians through cable, you can still sign in through their website.

When on the website, you can either sign up directly through Crave, or you can sign up through your TV provider. There is a dropdown so that you can input who your TV provider is and get directions on how to sign in.

Crave has a few of the seasons of Vikings available to watch in Canada. The main downfall to using Crave to watch Vikings in Canada is that there are only two available seasons, 5 and 6.

If you wanted to get ahold of those final two seasons, then Crave will be great, but itโ€™s not good if you are watching the show for the first time.

At least you wonโ€™t need a VPN when using Crave because it is a Canada-based website.

7. Watch Vikings on GlobalTV

GlobalTV is an online TV platform that allows people in Canada to watch their favorite shows online. Currently, there are only two seasons of Vikings available to watch. Those seasons, if you couldnโ€™t guess, are season 5 and season 6.

To watch on GlobalTV, you will have to confirm details about your cable provider and sign in. You can go through many different cable providers, so donโ€™t worry about having a provider that isnโ€™t listed.

Whatโ€™s fun about GlobalTV is that not only do you have access to full episodes of the show, but you also have access to fun web exclusives on Vikings. Things like trailers, sneak peeks, and behind-the-scenes content is available to watch. You donโ€™t even need to be signed in to watch these exclusives.

How to Download a VPN in Canada

VPN

For some of the watching methods listed above, a VPN is needed to access all the available episodes of Viking. Donโ€™t worry, downloading a VPN is super easy and very safe. You are not at risk for viruses or other problems as long as you get your VPN from a trusted and secured source.

You can download a VPN on pretty much any device that you can download stuff on. The downloading method is a little different depending on the device, but we will go over each one.

VPN on Your Phone

If you love to watch shows on your phone that are from other countries, you will want to download a VPN. On phones, getting a VPN is as simple as going to your app store, searching up VPNs, and downloading one of the apps. Make sure that the VPN of your choice has high reviews.

Once you download your VPN of choice, you will want to go through the setting up process. This might include making an account but it will surely include choosing what server you want to connect to. Depending on what platform you want to use to watch Vikings, the server you choose might vary.

You might choose to connect to a United States Server or possibly a Spain server. It depends on what country you want to access the show from.

Once you connect to a server, you are pretty much good to go.

VPN on Your Computer

Some computers come with an option to connect to a VPN built into the system. If so, simply go through your computerโ€™s VPN of choice. However, if you donโ€™t have a built-in VPN, you will want to download one from a website.

A VPNโ€™s website will direct you through the downloading process, from running the program to choosing a server. Itโ€™s very similar to setting up a VPN on your phone, it just takes a longer downloading process.

VPN on Your TV

There are different ways to put a VPN on a TV and these depend on what kind of TV and what kind of video streaming box you have. Services like Firestick and Google TV can download a VPN through their app downloading service.

If this isnโ€™t an option, you can share your VPN from your computer to your TV using either a hotspot or an ethernet cable. There are many guides online on how to do this and itโ€™s still a very simple process.

Go Watch Vikings Now

Even though it is difficult to watch all the seasons in one place if you are in Canada, you are still able to catch up on all of your favorite episodes. Choose what service works best for you and your watching needs. Vikings is a great show and you can watch it no matter if you are in the United States or Canada.
