Like many streaming platforms today, Paramount+ has quickly tapped into the original content market to draw a larger crowd.
In 2022 they released their original Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone, where a mafia king must rebuild his empire in Tulsa. They also released 1923, starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, a spin-off of the widely successful Yellowstone franchise.
Watch Kate Beckinsale try to salvage the career of a journalist by investigating the case of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for a murder she says she didn’t commit in Guilty Party.
Or, if you’ve been following the Yellowstone franchise, while 1923 covers the family in the 20th century, 1883 follows the Dutton family on their journey through the Great Plains to the west as an origin story of the family made popular in the original show.
Their exclusive films and the series list continue to grow in early 2023 with titles like Mayor of Kingstown, Blood & Treasure, The Offer, Halo, Seal Team, and Evil.
They’re bringing back some recent classics with Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, Teen Wolf: The Movie, Wolf Pack, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and Fatal Attraction.
Expanded Kids and Family Content
Paramount+ Canada is expanding their offerings for kids and families by more than 2500 hours of programming from Nickelodeon kids.
They’ll be offering the new series Monster High and Transformers: Earthspark, as well as films like Blue’s Big City Adventure.
They’ve already had great success streaming the Monster High Movie, a live-action version of the hit Mattel franchise that revolves around the children of famous monsters and creatures from legend.
Stream some older series from your youth and share good TV with your kids with classic Blue’s Clues alongside their remake Blue’s Clues & You! but also Rugrats, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, and Dora the Explorer.
Paramount+ also offers some other original content in the family category that includes a spin-off of Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder, iCarly (mentioned above), and Fantasy Football. This isn’t the popular game but a show revolving around the sports fantasy of a father-daughter duo.
Use their built-in parental controls to give your kids the freedom to watch without you having to worry about what they’re getting into.
Paramount+ Blockbuster Films
They don’t only stream TV shows and original content, either. They have an extensive list of blockbuster films. In fact, they’re one of the only streamers for the entire Scream film franchise.
You can also find titles like Mission Impossible, Grease, Star Trek, The Godfather, Transformers, the Lost City, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
As new films are released for either theatrical viewing or home viewing, Paramount+ regularly adds to the collection with newer titles like Top Gun: Maverick.
